|Description:||This position at Fort Stewart, GA must be able to perform all duties of a Range Control|
Operator (RCO), the Range Technician shall be able to assist Senior Range Technician by performing specific or general duties relating to the task at hand. Apply comprehensive knowledge to solve problems, i.e., those that can be solved by reference to Technical Manufacturers and other material involving the
target systems of range facilities.
|Duties:||Trains, supervises and enhances the technical proficiencies of subordinate personnel involved in range operations and maintenance;|
・ Operates the Range Computer System (RCS), programs/edits approved Using Unit firing scenarios into the RCS, thus enabling execution of training in accordance with approved scenarios and range safety requirements;
・ Tests, analyzes, adjusts, repairs and operates range system components, mechanisms and devices;
・ Signs for, supervises the use of, and safeguards common tools and vehicles used by his team.
Monitors, records, and reports equipment and vehicle statuses on a routine basis;
・ Diagnosis malfunctions in accordance with guidance found in manufacturers specifications, technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
|Qualifications:||・ Possess a working knowledge of safety requirements and the ability to implement;|
・ Ability to learn, teach, and safely operate various types of electronic test equipment;
・ Ability to understand and the capacity to apply electromechanical and hydraulic principles using
schematic and diagnostic aids to troubleshoot and repair electrical/mechanical/hydraulic systems;
・ Ability to achieve required standards for the successful completion of Range Computer System (RCS) training;
・ Ability to assimilate range systems and mechanisms, and apply it to effectively train and supervise
subordinates in efficient and timely repair of range systems;
・ Possess knowledge of military radio/telephone procedures; and effectively communicates over hand
held radios and telephones;
・ Possess the ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English;
・ Possess a driverís license valid for the operation of a motor vehicle in the state of Georgia;
・ Able to be certified in First Aid Training;
